FRUIT TREES AND GRAFTS
Almost all fruit trees are grafted. When grafting, we let branches (the grafts) of one tree grow on the rootstock of another tree, to improve (so-called refinement) the plant. Grafting is a precise job that is done by hand.

The rootstock determines the characteristics of your fruit tree, for example how high the tree grows and how long it takes for the tree to give fruit, but also the amount of fruit the tree will give. A slow growing rootstock leads to a more compact tree with a fast and high fruit yield. We grow our own rootstocks and export them worldwide and therefore also use them for our own fruit trees. For example, for our apples we only use the best rootstocks in combination with the right apple variety.

POT AND OPEN GROUND
We grow our products in pots and in the open ground, you can find this on our site. If it is indicated that a product is root stock or bare rooted, it comes from the open ground. These products are dug up in the autumn (when the plant is in winter dormancy) and temporarily stored in the cooling and delivered to our customers to be planted. The pot-grown plants are available all year round; you can plant them in your garden both summer and winter.
