Loropetalum chinense 'Ever Red'®, Witch bush, 3 litre pot

The Loropetalum chinense ‘Ever Red’®, also known as witch bush, is a compact, evergreen ornamental shrub that immediately stands out with its deep crimson leaves and spectacular fire-red flowers. This cultivar has the most intense flower colour of all Loropetalums, bringing colour and contrast to your garden or patio from early spring into summer.

‘Ever Red’ grows slowly and compactly to about 75 cm high and 1 metre wide, which makes it very suitable for small gardens, flower boxes, or if low hedge. Its prolonged blooming, striking leaf colour and graceful shape make it a real eye-catcher in any garden.

This witch bush feels best on a sunny to semi-shady location in a fertile, well-drained and humus-rich soil. He is hardy to around -10°C, and in colder areas you can easily protect it or keep it in pots to avoid frost damage. Maintenance is minimal - occasional light pruning after flowering is enough to keep the shape nice.
