Roze bloemknoppen openen tot lichtroze en witte bloemen. Height, branching and the number of leaves may vary from plant to plant and from season to season. We cannot guarantee that the plant will be in flower or bearing fruit upon delivery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Growth and flowering<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Deze sneeuwbal groeit uit tot een breed vertakte struik van ongeveer 2 tot 3 meter hoog. Geef hem voldoende ruimte om zich ook in de breedte te ontwikkelen. De bloei valt doorgaans in april en mei, afhankelijk van het weer. Plaats de struik waar u langsloopt of zit, zodat u de bloemengeur goed kunt ervaren. Het is een halfwintergroene heester: in koudere winters kan hij meer blad verliezen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location and planting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kies zon of halfschaduw en een humusrijke, goed doorlatende bodem. De plant verdraagt verschillende grondsoorten, zolang de wortels niet langdurig in water staan. Een beschutte plek helpt het blad in de winter mooi houden. Maak een ruim plantgat, zet de kluit op dezelfde diepte als in de kwekerspot en geef royaal water.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Water en voeding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Houd de grond in het eerste groeiseizoen voldoende vochtig. Geef extra water tijdens langdurige droogte. Breng in het voorjaar compost of passende heestervoeding aan volgens de dosering op de verpakking. Een mulchlaag helpt vocht vasthouden en verbetert de bodem; houd de voet van de struik vrij. Gebruik bij potteelt een ruime pot met drainagegaten en controleer de kluit regelmatig.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snoei en winterverzorging<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Veel snoei is niet nodig. Verwijder na de bloei dode, beschadigde of kruisende takken en kort alleen in waar de struik te breed wordt. Door direct na de bloei te snoeien, krijgt de plant tijd om nieuwe bloemknoppen voor het volgende voorjaar te vormen. De struik is winterhard. Bescherm een potkluit tegen langdurige bevriezing en voorkom uitdroging in een koude, winderige periode.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toepassing in de tuin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Geschikt als solitaire struik, in een losse heesterhaag of achter in een ruime border.
