Brunnera macrophylla 'Dawson's White', also known as Caucasian forget-me-not, is a lovely perennial with white variegated, round leaves that look fresh. In April and May, small, pale blue flowers appear, resembling common forget-me-nots. It grows about 30 to 50 cm high and does well as a ground cover in semi-shade or shade, for example in a border. Even after flowering, the leaves remain pretty to look at.
Plant it in cool, rich soil that is well-watered. It likes semi-shade and cannot stand bright sun or strong winds. Are the leaves turning ugly? Just cut it off and it will grow back fresh. An easy and cheerful plant for your garden!
