Hemerocallis 'Frans Hals' - Daylily - Root stock - 5 pieces

Hemerocallis 'Frans Hals', better known as Day Lily, is an easy and strong perennial with striking red-yellow flowers. It flowers from June to September and grows 60-80 cm tall. The trumpet-shaped flowers are about 10-12 cm tall and do not bloom for long, but new flowers soon follow. With some extra fertiliser after the main flowering, there will be a repeat flowering in September.

This plant does well in sun or semi-shade, in almost any soil that is well-watered and slightly nutritious. Perfect for borders, pots or in small groups (3-5 per m²). Its grass-like leaves match nicely with ornamental onions or ornamental grasses. It is hardy, can withstand drought and needs little care - cut away any old flowers.
