Growth and use
Swingle Citrumelo usually blooms in spring with delicate white blossoms and sets fruit from November into spring, depending on the climate. The flavour leans towards a cross between grapefruit and lemon, mildly refreshing and widely applicable in cooking. Perfect in salads, marinades or as a quirky citrus drink.

Pitch & care
Place the plants in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained, slightly acidic soil. In pot culture, drainage is crucial. Water regularly during the growing season and fertilise lightly with an organic fertiliser. In winter, protect with mulch or place the pot sheltered from prolonged frost.
