Planting and start
Walnuts are preferably planted in autumn or early spring, when the tree is dormant. Make sure you have a spacious planting hole and deep, well-drained soil. After planting, give plenty of water so that the roots can get well established.

Walnuts need space and light to grow well.

Care during the year
