Hemerocallis 'Sammy Russell', also known as Day Lily, is a sturdy perennial with pretty, red-coloured flowers that have a yellow throat. It blooms from July to September and the flamed flowers stand out well in your garden. The plant grows about 60-80 cm tall and has narrow, green leaves. Perfect for placing in small groups among other plants.
It grows best in sun or semi-shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Cut away old flowers daily for a neat look. This Day Lily is well hardy, can handle some drought and tolerates sea breezes and dirty air. An easy and colourful choice for borders or a natural garden!
