Lonicera caerulea 'Larissa' is also called mayberry or honeyberry.
Blooms in early spring, so watch out for frost. The Larissa has an elongated sweet and sour berry that is rich in vitamin B and C.
Self-pollinating, but with other conspecifics nearby the plant will produce more berries.
The blossom is loved by bees and the berries by birds.
The shrub is winter hardy and loses its leaves in the autumn. The berry grows on all types of soil, the best location is in the sun or light shade in a moist place.
