Thuja occidenalis 'Smaragd' is a beautiful hedge conifer with a dense, compact growth habit. Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' grows relatively slowly for a hedge conifer. Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' grows to approximately 400 cm high and has a fresh green foliage colour. Like all hedge conifers it is winter hardy. Narrow pyramidal growing conifer. Height 3 – 4 m, width up to 1 m. Compact growth habit. Foliage dark green. Pruning is well tolerated, can be used as a hedge plant. Light location. Humus-rich soil type.
