The Clerodendrum is also called the opportunity tree or peanut butter tree. This is because of the smell that is released when you crush a leaf. The plant can sometimes freeze, causing some twigs to die. Don't be alarmed, just prune back, the plant blooms at the end of the newly formed twigs in the growth year. Beautiful white pink/purple flowers that smell slightly and are often visited by bees and butterflies.
