The Clerodendrum is also called opportunity tree or peanut tree. This is because of the smell released when bruising a leaf. The plant can sometimes freeze, causing some twigs to die. Don't be alarmed, just prune back. The plant flowers at the end of the newly formed twigs in the growth year. Beautiful white flowers with a slight scent and eagerly visited by bees and butterflies.
