The Exochorda racemosa ‘Blushing Pearl’® is an ornamental pearl shrub that shines in spring with its abundant blooms. Soft pink flower buds that look like pearls first appear in April and May. Once they open, the branches turn bright white. The young leaves are tinged red and later turn fresh green. In autumn, the leaves take on warm orange and yellow hues.

Rich flowering and beautiful growth habit
This upright shrub grows compactly and eventually reaches a height of 1.5 to 2 metres. The flowers are along the entire branch, creating a full and elegant look.

Very hardy and easy to maintain
The Blushing Pearl Can withstand temperatures down to -32 °C. It grows well in almost any well-drained, fertile soil, as long as it is not too calcareous.

Pruning and location
Prune spent branches lightly after flowering to maintain a nice shape. Every few years, you can prune back some older branches to keep the shrub young and healthy. Plant the pearl bush in a sunny spot or in light shade for the most beautiful blooms.
