Growers Entwas Warm - Ent sealant - 250 grams

Kwekers Grafting Wax is a professional, water-free, petroleum-based sealant specially developed to provide perfect protection for grafts against drying out. During grafting, it is essential that both the scion and the rootstock maintain a constant moisture balance. This grafting wax completely seals the cambium layer, preventing desiccation and ensuring optimal union.

The grafting wax is gently heated in a bain-marie or in a grafting wax kettle to a maximum of 80 °C. Then apply the liquid wax using a brush or wooden spatula, ensuring that all gaps between the scion and the rootstock are carefully sealed. The tip of the scion must also be covered. Small cracks may form due to vigorous growth – simply reapply the wax to these areas. The wax does not crack in the cold, but may occasionally drip in extremely hot greenhouse conditions (>50 °C). This product can be remelted several times and is intended for use without the addition of any other substances.

As this grafting wax creates a completely airtight seal, it is ideal for grafting fruit trees, grapevines and nut trees. For a complete and successful grafting season, this product combines perfectly with our organic plant fertiliser, or with young rootstocks from our wide range Rootstocks
