'Pollmix' grows into a sturdy shrub or small tree with a somewhat irregular, vase-shaped to broadly oval crown. Although this male plant does not produce fruits, it still offers a nice aesthetic value because of its gray-green foliage.
The Hippophae rhamnoides 'Pollmix' is a shrub that is approximately 3 metres high and can be kept compact by pruning. It thrives best in full sun and can be planted in various types of soil. It is also resistant to sea wind, making it ideal for coastal areas.
The 'Pollmix' is a fertile male variety used to pollinate up to 6 female plants. They pollinate each other by wind, so it is advisable to plant them near each other for optimal pollination.
