The Hosta ‘Hands Up’ perennial is a decorative garden plant that adds colour, texture and seasonal interest to the garden. Plant it as a specimen, in a border, as ground cover or in a large pot, depending on its natural growth habit.
Combining different foliage colours, flower shapes and growth habits creates a garden that remains interesting throughout the season. This plant combines well with other shrubs, perennials or ornamental grasses with similar site requirements.
Location and care:
Hostas thrive best in partial shade or light shade, in nutrient-rich, moisture-retaining soil. Water them more frequently during dry spells, especially if the plant is in a pot. The foliage dies back above ground in autumn; the plant sprouts again in spring.
Plants and delivery:
The plant is supplied in a nursery pot measuring approximately 13 cm. The delivery height stated is approximate and is measured including the pot.
Make the planting hole large enough, plant the plant at roughly the same depth as in the nursery pot, and water generously after planting. In hot or dry weather, it is important to water extra until the plant has become well established.
Plants are natural products. Their exact height, shape, branching, leaf arrangement, flowering and fruiting may vary from season to season and from plant to plant.
