Waldsteinia ternata also called golden strawberry is a hardy evergreen ground cover so that weeds have almost no chance where this plant covers the ground. The leaf and the yellow flowers look a bit like those of the wild strawberry hence the name. The leaf changes color to reddish brown in the fall and comes back fresh green in the spring. Make sure that this plant gets enough water in warm periods because the plant does not root deeply but superficially. This plant is supplied by schramas.com in a 9 cm pot.
