Looking for a climbing plant that will cover your wall or fence in green (and red!) in one season? The Wild Winged (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) is a true champion of growth. This self-adhesive climbing plant effortlessly attaches to stone surfaces with tiny suction cups and grows at lightning speed up to 10 metres high. In summer it is fresh green, but the real spectacle begins in autumn: that's when the leaves turn to intense red and purple, a real eye-catcher!

Besides its ornamental value, Wild Winged offers ecological benefits. In summer it blooms inconspicuously with small greenish-white flowers, followed by dark blue berries which are loved by birds. This plant is extremely hardy (down to -34°C) and requires little maintenance. Suitable for sun, semi-shade and shade - although sun gives the best autumn colouring.

Note: young plants can be a bit frost-sensitive. Cover them in severe frosts. Avoid using directly on wooden facades, due to the powerful adhesive roots.
