The Diospyros khaki ‘Sweet 500’ is a special Russian khaki variety which is known for its exceptionally sweet, mild fruits without a sour aftertaste. This compact persimmon tree matures early and produces orange fruits that are both hard as soft are delicious to eat out of hand. With its rich flavour, early ripening and reliable growth, ‘Sweet 500’ is among the most popular modern varieties of persimmon for the garden.

The tree forms an upright crown with glossy green leaves that turn a beautiful shade of yellow and red in autumn.
